As we start the bank holiday weekend of Mental Health Awareness Week 2020, I wanted to share some ideas of how you can be kind to yourself.
As I mentioned in my previous post about kindness during lockdown, we often forget about ourselves when we think about being kind. We may feel that we do not deserve to make the time to do nice things for ourselves or are just simply too busy; but it can often be the little things that can make a difference.
So why not try one, or a few of the following things to be kind to yourself this weekend. You might find that you do some of them already, so if you do that’s great! There may also be some things here that you haven’t tried before or that you haven’t made time for in a while too.
Check in with yourself, what do you need this weekend and what small things can you do to be a little kinder to yourself? Your mind will thank you for it!
