So, where do we go from here?
Let’s find the way forward together.
Before we begin our work together we will have an initial session to get to understand what you would like to gain from counselling, so that I know how I am best able to help and support you. This first session will also give you the opportunity to meet me to ensure you would be comfortable in opening up to me and to ask any questions you might have about counselling.
The first session will be 50 minutes long and charged at £50 as per a normal counselling session.
Number of Sessions
If we decide to move forward in our work together, we can discuss whether this would be for a set number of sessions or open-ended, depending on what your needs might be. Sometimes we do not know at such an early stage what might come up during sessions, so this can always be reviewed as we go along.
In our first sessions we will talk through a Counselling Agreement which will outline how we will work together and our expectations of one another. This will cover things such as confidentiality, our working relationship and practical things such as payment and cancelling sessions.
Time and Place
Counselling sessions will last for 50 minutes and will be on the same day, at the same time each week for consistency and to ensure you have a dedicated time slot each week, just for you. Face to face sessions will be held in a comfortable environment in Newbury. I am also working on offering online sessions soon too if this is more convenient for you.
Each 50 minute session will be charged at £50 and can be paid by cash or BACS payment.
What will we talk about?
I will be guided each week by what you would like to talk about so that you can make the most of our time talking about the things that really matter to you. If you’re not sure where to start, don’t worry, I can help you focus on this too.
